Kathleen McKinney

McKinney is a third-generation Sooner from Waco, Texas. McKinney is a senior, majoring in Journalism and minoring in Film and Video Studies. She has written for several publications including The Wacoan, The Oklahoma Daily, JayMac’s Pulse Magazine, and OU Student Media’s Gift Guide.

McKinney is a member of the OU spirit organization RUF/NEK Lil’ Sis and is the club's President for the 2007-2008 school year. She is also a member of the Advantage Scholars Program and a President’s Leadership Class alumna. In the past, she served on the Campus Disciplinary Board, was a Camp Crimson Counselor, and a member of Sooner Scouts.

After graduation, McKinney hopes to become a book editor or a film critic with an entertainment magazine.
