
Shannon Miller
Miller of Colleyville Texas, is a journalism junior minoring in Spanish. She currently works as a cut-in anchor for the student produced newscast OU Nightly. Miller also has made appearances on Sooner Scene, the live entertainment report on Fridays. She can be seen at various OU community and sporting events as a member of the OU Pom squad.
Miller is a member of Crimson Club and has participated in various Campus Activities Councils including Dance Marathon and the 2007 Sooner Scandals production where she served as assistant director.
A recipient of the 2006 and 2007 President’s Award for Outstanding Freshman and Sophomore, Miller has been a counselor for Camp Crimson and is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She has volunteered her time to Big Brothers Big Sisters for two years now.
She was recently selected to intern for CBS News in New York, summer of 2008. An aspiring news anchor, Miller hopes to work for a major television network and dedicate her time to various areas of philanthropy including particular interest in developing a dance training program for underprivileged children.
