International Students

We are pleased that you are interested in pursuing a degree from the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma. We offer students a broad range of degree options at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Gaylord College welcomes students from around the world to our programs. We currently have students from several Eastern European countries, Russia and Zimbabwe among others. The diverse perspectives of International students like yourself enrich the learning experience for all involved.

In addition, we have several foreign faculty members including Katerina Tsetsura  (Russia), Namkee Park (South Korea), Doyle Yoon (Korea) and Elanie Steyn (South Africa). Many of our other faculty members bring International focus to their research and teaching. This international influence provides our students with global perspectives on mass communication.

The Gaylord College has special admission requirements for International students including both written and verbal English language proficiency.
