Our mission is to educate producers and consumers of existing and emerging forms of public communication, and to instill in them the value of freedom of expression, intellectual and cultural diversity, critical thinking, creativity, ethics, professional skills, and social responsibility.
The Gaylord College is home to a variety of student groups that cover all aspects of our majors and professions and each group adds to the college, making us a richer and more diverse place to prepare for a career.
In addition, student organizations provide each JMC student an opportunity develop leadership skills and get involved in important projects on campus and participate in many other activities, both locally and nationally. During the past year, students involved with groups in the Gaylord College took trips to various regional and national locations, helped charitable causes and helped attract a record number of alumni back to campus.
