At the OU Gender + Equality Center we provide advocacy services for students and members of our campus community. These services include support and advocacy specific to LGBTQ students, survivors of sexual assault and gender-based violence, and all related issues. Our programs serve a diverse array of students dealing with a range of challenges and traumas.
For advocacy and support after experiencing or knowing someone who has experienced sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, or harassment, OU Advocates can be accessed through the Gender + Equality Center or by calling 405-615-0013.
To report sexual misconduct, the Sexual Misconduct Office is a resource that is available.
For LGBTQ-specific advocacy, there are a number of available offices and resources on campus available on our LGBTQ Advocacy page.
Additionaly, we have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions regarding sexual assault on and off campus for students who might be seeking more information or who have concerns about the process of receiving help after experiencing sexual assault.
In addition to our advocacy services, we maintain a list of resources for finding help off-campus, through other offices, or for specific kinds of support that we are not able to provide.
