Program Advisory Board Events

Below is a list of events currently in the works from our LGBTQ+ Program Advisory Board. All of the events below are entirely planned BY students FOR students. Please check back frequently for new information and/or new events!

August

Queer Tour: Queer Tour is a guided adventure through campus that connects students to resources, allies, and queer-friendly spaces across campus.

LGBTQ+ Meet & Greet: The goal of LGBTQ+ Meet & Greet is to welcome new and returning Queer students to campus. Students will get a chance to meet each other as well as allies across campus.

October All Month

LGBTQ History Month: LGBTQ History Month (October) is a month-long observance of Queer History and the history of LGBTQ+ civil rights movement. This event coordinates social media campaigns about Queer history and at least one educational and social event to celebrate Queer history.

February

QTBIPOC Dinner: This event is focused on bringing together the Black, Indigenous, People of color members of the LGBTQ+ community to foster relationships in a space that is centered around their needs & experiences.

April

Crimson and Queens: Crimson and Queens is OU’s annual spring semester drag show. This event features performances from students and professional performers. Past headliners include Kennedy Davenport, Alyssa Edwards, and Shangela.

Ongoing Events

Awareness and Visibility Series: This series of outreach events engage the community on a consistent basis to raise awareness and visibility for different identities within the community. Students will get to engage through social media campaigns or through tabling on campus.
