"Give On" University

Presidential professorships reward outstanding faculty like David Schmidtke, who serves as director of the OU Bioengineering Cener and was named a President’s Associates Presidential Professor in 2012.

Donor Spotlight

he redwood table is the Diedra Vaughncelle Atkinson and George Edward Bibbo Table, which Bibbo donated in 2004 as a tribute to Atkinson, whom he met during their freshman year at OU in 1967. The table is located between Walker and Adams towers.

OU recently received a major gift from Will and Helen Webster of California to endow scholarships and to provide key support for programs and projects in OU’s Honors and Education colleges.

Sooner Magazine

Cover of the fall 2012 issue of Sooner Magazine: At the OU College of Medicine, they call it Prologue, a flood of orientation information inundating first-year students and culminating in the ceremonial presentation of their white coats. For Rachel Coughran and 166 other physician-hopefuls, starting down this path is the realization of a dream.

Since its inception in 1928, Sooner Magazine has provided affiliates of the University of Oklahoma with a rich source for University news and history. Each copy has been digitized to provide better access to this fabulous history.
