Shell contribution to benefit several energy-related programs at OU

Shell Oil Company has contributed $111,250 to the University of Oklahoma for the 2009-2010 academic year to benefit several energy-related programs.  Shell executives visited the OU Norman campus on Dec. 16 to deliver the donation.

OU programs receiving the Shell support are the:

  • College of Engineering, including the School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, the School of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering, and the Multicultural Engineering Program;
  • Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy, including the ConocoPhillips School of Geology and Geophysics and the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering;
  • Price College of Business for its Energy Management Program;
  • Career Services; and
  • OU’s Disability Outreach Program.

The corporate support will enhance teaching and learning opportunities at OU.
