Yes! Almost 20,000 alumni made a gift to OU in FY '07-'08 through Annual Giving, totaling $5.5 million. Annual Giving’s impact on the quality of teaching and learning is huge. In fact, OU receives more than 70 percent of all alumni gifts through Annual Giving phone and mail programs.

How Will Your Gift Be Used?

Annual donations help in countless ways – providing scholarships that allow students to focus more on studying than working to pay the bills; paying for teaching resources that enable faculty to purchase much-needed classroom equipment or software; and boosting smaller programs, such as support to send a student to a national conference.

How Does My Gift Make an Impact?

Rankings in such publications as U.S. News & World Report are based partly on the percentage of alumni giving. Top students are more apt to attend higher ranked universities, so your gift helps OU recruit top students! And, our current alumni giving percentage of 22 percent places us in the top half of any major conference in the country.
