Financial aid made Betsy Brackett’s dream of becoming a dentist possible. That’s why she gives back to OU.

“I never could have managed tuition, books, instruments and living expenses without the loans and scholarships I received,” says Brackett, who grew up in Bartlesville, Okla., and earned her D.D.S. degree from the OU College of Dentistry in 1978.

She later attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry earning a Certificate in Fixed Prosthodontics and an M.S. degree in 1987. A diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, Brackett maintains a private practice in Oklahoma City.

Brackett provides support for scholarships at the OUHSC and Norman campus. She and her husband, Gregg Wadley, also are generous donors to the OU Tennis program and the School of Dance.

“I hope my contributions to scholarship funds will allow students to fulfill their dreams and begin rewarding and successful careers,” Brackett says. “I have been very blessed both professionally and personally, and it is truly time for me to give back.”
