The daylong event, held in Oklahoma Memorial Union, 900 Asp Ave., will offer attendees a chance to hear stories about how gifts have enriched the academic life of the University and learn how they can make a difference. David Boren, President of the University of Oklahoma

David L. Boren became the 13th president of the University of Oklahoma in November 1994.  He is currently the longest-serving president in the Big 12.  A former governor and U.S. senator, he has led OU to unprecedented heights, including $1.6 billion in private gifts, $1.5 billion in construction on three campuses, an increase in the number of endowed faculty positions from 101 to 544, doubling the number of students receiving scholarship support, and 20 major new programs.

Sherri Coale

Sherri Coale, OU Women's Basketball Coach

Beginning her fourteenth season as head coach of the University of Oklahoma women’s basketball team, Sherri Coale is considered one of the top collegiate coaches in the nation. Her goals have always been to maximize the potential of her players and team on and off the court by encouraging excellence in the classroom and service in the community. “Being a student-athlete at the University of Oklahoma is a privilege and a responsibility. It is imperative that our players understand the role they play in our community and the need to give back.”

Angela White

Angela E. White, Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University  

Angela E. White is a faculty member at the Center on Philanthropy, Women’s Philanthropy Institute, at Indiana University.  As a philanthropic consultant, she has a high level of expertise in areas ranging from education to social service organizations and has focused on women’s issues and women’s philanthropy.  She has been active in Council for Advancement and Support of Education conferences, has held leadership positions in the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and currently serves on the development committee for Komen for the Cure in Indianapolis.
