Well, my first semester at the University of Oklahoma is completed and half way into the second. It was a very busy semester both academically and personally. I’ve been working three jobs while going to college. Two of them are part time, normally weekend jobs. Along with that I have been promoted to Staff Sergeant in Army. Involved with that, is extra responsibility and an opportunity to influence the newer soldiers. There is also a similar opportunity to influence new students.

On Sunday, October 26, 2008, I had the benefit of attending the Leo Delibes, “Lakme” Opera. This wonderful opera is broken in to three acts with an intermission in between each. Lakme is a French opera that is sung in French with English subtitles. It starts with the Hindus performing their rites in a sacred Brahmin temple under the high priest.
