Residence Hall House Calls

Residence Hall House Calls is OU's award winning program aimed at providing opportunities for new freshmen to connect with faculty and staff from across campus. Each Fall semester several OU faculty and staff gather for an evening to walk through the residence halls, knock on students' doors and engage them in conversation about how their semester is going. Faculty and staff answer questions and offer advice on anything from study skills and academic success resources to getting involved and finding out more about the Norman community.
"I really enjoy getting to meet our students on their turf. It is important to understand our students' needs; what they struggle with and what excites them during this crucial transition period. [Residence Hall] House Calls are a great opportunity to have some really meaningful conversations with students and make that personal connection so they know that we are here to help them succeed." - Zac Stevens, Student Life Staff Member and Gateway Instructor
