Q. Why did you choose history for a major?
A. My sixth grade teacher Mrs. Clanton– ‘If you fail to learn History, you are destined to repeat it’ – Abraham Lincoln (cruel double meaning in 6 th grade)

Q. What was your biggest academic challenge while at OU?
A. Walking the tightrope of balancing basketball excellence and achieving the academic excellence that I demanded of myself

Q. What were some study techniques, campus resources, or other factors that helped you graduate?
A. Prentice Gautt Student Life Center, Dr. Gerald Gurney and good note taking!

Q. What organizations were you involved in at OU?
A. Men’s Basketball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, President’s Associates Dinners, OU Student / Athlete Advisory Board and Coach Sampson's Reading Program to area elementary schools

Q. What was your favorite class at OU?
A. Russian History

Q. Who was your favorite OU professor?
A. Dr. Drummond

Q. How did your degree help you achieve your goals?
A. History teaches great perspective, hones writing skills, and demands attention to detail. I use my knowledge of history every day.

A. Blending my creative abilities, nurtured relationships and business acumen to achieve results that impact my client’s bottom line

A. Be a terrific husband, father, servant to GOD and have an impact on my community, state and country

Q. What one piece of advice can you offer students seeking to graduate in four years?
A. It’s easy. Go to class, take notes and ask questions.
