Lab and X-ray
OUHS offers an on-site federally certified laboratory.
A doctor's order is required for most laboratory testing. Some common tests include:
- women's health screenings
- lipid profiles
- hormone testing
- blood sugar
- liver function
- strep throat and flu
- urinary tract infection
Lab orders from doctors outside of our facility may be brought in or faxed to (405) 325-1190. Once completed, the results of your lab work will be faxed to the ordering doctor. You must then consult with the ordering doctor about your results.
You may request the following tests directly from the laboratory without a provider's order:
- Blood Typing for ABO/Rh
**Please make an appointment with a provider if you have symptoms or have had a known exposure to an STD. Walk-in testing is for screening purposes only and does not offer a complete screening of all STD’s.
A pregnancy test may be requested through the clinic nurse. Do not check-in at the lab until you have made your request through the nurse.
Please call the laboratory for additional information regarding collection times and procedures. Results will be available through Health Connection.
OUHS provide's in-house x-rays with digital computerized imaging to help expedite the diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury. All of the x-ray examinations performed at OU Health Services are interpreted by a licensed radiologist.
X-ray orders from doctors outside of our facility may be brought in or faxed (preferred) to (405) 325-1190. We will send the x-ray to the ordering doctor. You must then consult the ordering doctor about your results.
