A premier event held each spring at the University of Oklahoma
2008 SRPD application deadline was Friday, February 8th, 2008.
Student Research and Performance Day (SRPD) is a blue-ribbon event held each spring at the University of Oklahoma. At this conference and celebration, the Honors College hosts students who were funded in their research or creative activities from the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program and students in general who want to show what they have discovered in their fields. This one-day conference hosted by the Honors College showcases outstanding undergraduate research and creative activity for an audience of other students, faculty, and parents.

This conference is an occasion where students demonstrate that they have extended their capabilities to the fullest, and it is also a celebration of the work of high-achieving undergraduate students. Like important professional conferences all over the world, SRPD is an occasion to show the best of what talented researchers are discovering. Most immediately, its format resembles that of the National Conference on Undergraduate Research held at the University of Minnesota each March.
In 1990, the Honors College expanded SRPD to include presenters from other schools in the region, and since that time undergraduates from colleges and universities in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas have made many excellent presentations at SRPD. The Honors College invites all undergraduates at accredited institutions to apply. Topics can include the arts, natural sciences, life sciences, business, engineering, social sciences, critical studies in ancient or modern literature, and the humanities. Prose and poetry submissions and other forms of creative activity are also encouraged. Each participant has 10-15 minutes for presentation, and special arrangements can be made for video presentations of music dance, or art.
