With a heritage rich in academic excellence, the college must continue to meet the highest standard of teaching to provide OU's brightest students with an education well-matched to their intellectual talent. We invite you to give back and go forward with us as we foster this heritage by providing the best education possible for high achieving students at OU.
When giving back to the Honors College, your meaningful gift positively impacts the lives of dedicated students and the future of the Honors College when you support the following:
The David L. Boren and Molly Shi Boren Society for Honors Education
In 2014, the OU Honors Program celebrated its 50th year of academic excellence. In 2016, OU celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Honors Program’s elevation to College status. These milestones provide the opportunity to honor both George Lynn Cross (OU president, 1943-1968) who founded the Honors Program in 1964, and David L. Boren (OU president, 1994-2018), who elevated the program to college status in 1996.
Building on the success of these outstanding leaders, and to see that the Honors College continues to rise, while providing the pace and standard associated with a fine liberal arts college, the David L. Boren and Molly Shi Boren Society for Honors Education has been established. “The Boren Society” will support students and faculty through opportunities that inspire and honor academic excellence.
Presidential Teaching Fellows
