About the Scholarship
To encourage students to study in energy-related fi elds, BP – one of the world’s largest energy companies – will begin offering a scholarship program through the University of Oklahoma Joe C. and Carole Kerr McClendon Honors College in fall 2008. The BP INSPIRE (Inviting New Students to Participate in the Reach for Excellence) Scholarship program recruits students into the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy, the College of Engineering, and the Price College of Business.
Successful candidates will show promise of becoming tomorrow’s energy and technology leaders. The program is designed to help students to gain a global perspective and an understanding of a variety of topics in the national interest.
The program will benefi t 20 students a year, creating a rich environment of professional training, educational enhancement, and fi nancial support.
