Dr. Brian Johnson directs the Honors College Writing Assistant Program, which provided one-on-one tutoring support for student-writers in the Honors College. Dr. Johnson regularly teaches “Hon 3970: Writing Workshop,” a course that prepares students for the duties as Writing Assistants. He also teaches “Hon 2970 Campus Community” and “Hon 2970 Community Culture,” both of which are one credit-hour courses that help enrich students’ experiences while at OU.

Dr. Johnson received his Ph.D. in Composition/Rhetoric/Literacy from the University of Oklahoma in 2001.
