The retention scholarships are designed to reward OU undergraduate students for outstanding academic performance during their freshman year. They are coordinated by the OU Scholars Selection Committee, Christina Norman, Chair.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible students must be direct-from-high school admits to OU who entered Spring 2012, Summer 2012 or Fall 2012 and full-time students (12 hours or more) during both Fall and Spring semesters of the 2012/2013 academic year.

Students may not hold any general university continuing scholarship award (including but not limited to Oklahoma Academic Scholar, National Merit, Regents Scholar, Award of Excellence, Honor Scholar, Valedictorian, American Indian Tuition Waiver or Advantage). Students receiving OHLAP or Sooner Promise are also ineligible.
