Boren Scholars

The Honors College is pleased to offer a scholarship specifically to be used to help a student defray the costs of the “Honors at Oxford” program. Named after President David Boren, the scholarship will be given to students who reflect his intellectual curiosity, his dynamic leadership, and his broadminded vision. Ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2008 program.
Eligibility requirements: At least 24 hours of college credit at the end of the Spring semester; no summer school scholarship support (i.e. National Merit Scholars, Regents Scholars, Athletic scholarships); a competitive GPA.
To apply: Submit a transcript and a list of pertinent university activities, awards, and honors when enrolling for the course. The Boren Scholars for 2008 will be named at the end of May, once grades for the Spring semester are verified.
