Students are housed and take their meals at Brasenose College, Oxford. All rooms at Brasenose are for single occupancy; students may choose a room with or without a private bath. Please note that the rooms with private baths (en-suite rooms) cost more.
Bed linens and towels are provided, and the Brasenose staff clean rooms on a regular basis.
The meals provided include breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Thursday. Vegetarian alternatives are available. Students are expected to observe the regulations of Brasenose College.
Brasenose College, founded in 1509, stands on High Street, Oxford University’s main thoroughfare. Distinguished members of the College include Robert Burton (1577-1640), author of The Anatomy of Melancholy; Elias Ashmole (1617-1692), whose collection formed the nucleus of the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford; William Webb Ellis (1807-1872), said to be the originator of rugby; William Golding (1911-1993), author of Lord of the Flies; Michael Palin of Monty Python.
