Tips on Teaching
I. Materials developed by national and international
leading specialists on college teaching
The Program for Instructional Innovation at OU has purchasesd the
rights to share selected essays with everyone who teaches at OU:
full-time faculty members, adjunct faculty, and teaching assistants.
These essays offer focused, practical insights on how to be an
effective (or more effective) professional educator in higher
education.
In order to read these essays, you must have an OU ID number
and password. The essays are listed by general topic catagories.
Some of the catagories include:
- Course Management
- Analyzing One's Own Teaching
- Special Kinds of Learning
- Teaching with Technology
- Specific Teaching Methods

II. Materials developed at the University of Oklahoma
PII has developed some ideas and materials on
several topics:
We have decided to put these handouts on this
webpage in order to make them more widely available to interested
people, on this campus and elsewhere. You will also find many
valuable materials in our "Spotlight
on Teaching" newsletter
archives.
Permission to Copy and Use These Materials
Any individual or institution who wants to copy
any of these materials or put them on a website, for educational
purposes, has a' priori permission to do so; you do not need to
obtain any further permission.
However, if hard copies are made for distribution
to others or if you load them onto another website, you do need
to note the source of these materials: "Developed by the
Program for Instructional Innovation at the University of Oklahoma"
(or something to that effect).
