About Us

Created in 2004 with the cooperation of the Provost, Faculty Senate, and UOSA, the Integrity Council is now an independent student organization advised by the Office of Academic Integrity Programs. The Integrity Council strives to represent students from every college on campus and from every background, including transfer students, international students, student-athletes, and graduate students.

The main responsibilities of the Integrity Council are to:

  • Promote academic integrity on campus
  • Educate students and faculty on how our academic integrity system functions
  • Advise the Provost on issues related to academic integrity
  • Conduct investigations regarding academic integrity violations
  • Supervise all academic misconduct hearings requested by students
  • Assist in teaching the Do You Understand Integrity (DYUI) seminar
