Getting to Norman

We look forward to welcoming you soon to the University of Oklahoma!   Remember to come to our office with your immigration documents when you arrive in Norman so that you can check in and obtain important information. Below you will find information about airport transfers from the Oklahoma City airport to Norman and local hotels.

The Oklahoma City airport is located about 20 miles northwest of the Norman campus. We recommend you go to the airport's website for information on ground transportation to Norman.  One possibility to transfer from the Oklahoma City airport to Norman (approximately 30-40 minutes), is Airport Express, a shuttle service that charges a fee. Look for the blue vans outside of the baggage claim area.

If you arrive when our office and the University Housing office are closed, you will need to make arrangements to stay in a local hotel.  University Housing has provided information on their website here. Some hotels have free shuttles that will bring you to campus; ask when making a reservation if this service is available.
