These workshops are for F-1 students who are interested in applying for Curricular Practical Training or Optional Practical Training. CPT workshops for Spring 2009 will begin after the Spring 2009 enrollment window opens on November 3, 2008.
Learn basic information, eligibility for CPT and OPT, and how to apply. OU ISS international student advisers will take questions after the presentation. Space in these workshops is limited due to classroom size. You must reserve your space by sending email to OU ISS, placing “workshop reservation” in the subject line of your email, specifying EXACTLY which workshop you wish to attend. December 2008 graduates became eligible to apply for post-completion OPT on Monday, September 22. The sixty-day grace period for December 2008 graduates will end on February 17, 2009. The USCIS is currently taking 100 days to process OPT applications, and the process cannot be expedited. Do not promise an employment start date to a US employer that you cannot guarantee.
The deadline to apply for Fall 2008 CPT was Friday, August 29. If you have a question about CPT authorization, please attend a CPT workshop this semester.

These workshops are for J-1 students who are interested becoming F-1 degree-seeking students at the University of Oklahoma. Learn basic information, eligibility for regular admission to the university, how to apply, and important immigration information about this process. The workshops are presented by staff from the OU office of Admissions, International Student Services, and Education Abroad. Dates and times for the one-hour workshops are as follows:
