Adopt-An-Area |

Adopt-An-Area is a beautification program on campus in which fraternities, sororities, student organizations and floors in OU's housing center participate. Each group volunteers to adopt an area of campus, assigned by Landscaping, which they clean up every week. They are responsible for keeping their area trash-free throughout the year, which helps keep our campus a beautiful! Each week, representatives from the Landscaping department evaluate every area and gives each group a thumbs up or thumbs down, depending on the cleanliness of the area. The results are printed in the Wednesday edition of The Oklahoma Daily. These scores are tallied throughout the year, and an award is given to the group with the best score. The award is presented at the Arbor Day picnic held at the end of March. |
