2008 Rush

Dear Lambda Chi Alumni,

Recruitment is the life blood of any chapter.  Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of Oklahoma has been one of the top fraternities on campus for many years, and one of the top chapters in our national Fraternity.  This has all been due to the quality of men we are able to recruit.  This is evident by the great accomplishments the chapter has achieved in prior years and this year as reported elsewhere in this newsletter.

Fraternity rush is becoming more and more competitive.  Our main competitors on campus have increased summer rush budgets such that they now outspend us 3 to 1 in some cases.  However, it is not all about the amount of money, but how it is spent.  For us to remain successful we need alumni support in recommendations of prospective members who live up to our standards. This allows us to focus more quickly on qualified individuals.

This summer we have several rush events that we are planning from Dallas to Norman to Tulsa and everywhere in between.  In order to make these events and summer rush as a whole successful we need your help and support.  A few extra barbecues, or dinners, or rounds of golf would definitely help us sign the best associate class possible!  We would be happy with any kind of donation, whether it be money, sponsoring a bbq, or providing a location for an event.  If you would like to be updated when we are hosting events in your area write back to Devon Furber with your email and he can keep you posted.  We would love to have you be a part of bringing in another great associate class to the Gamma Rho Zeta chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha.

If you have a recommendation on prospective members, please take a few minutes to note the information we require on the card below.  This information can be emailed to the Summer Rush Chairman, Kyler Dawson at Kyler.n.dawson-1@ou.edu.  Whether or not you have a recommendation, if you would like to assist  Lambda Chi in remaining the best house at OU, please consider a donation to help with our summer rush budget.  They can be mailed to:
