Recently, the Department of Petroleum and Geological Engineering at the University of Oklahoma proposed a new graduate degree program entitled Natural Gas Engineering and Management. The program is outlined in this presentation by Jonathan T. Kwan, and the degree requirements are available here. This Spring, Dr. Kwan will introduce a new course entitled The Value Chain of Natural Gas - A System Approach.

Also, in November of 1999, at a meeting of the Sarkeys Energy Center Board of Directors, Richard G. Mallison of the Institute for Gas Utilization Technologies proposed a program concerning the conversion of natural gas to chemicals and fuels. His presentation can be found here.
