Why Petroleum Engineering?
Some students choose Petroleum
Engineering for the excellent scholarships, opportunity for summer internships,
top starting salaries, and high placement rates in the industry.
Many students like the
long-term opportunities: oil companies are going to be around for a long
time, nationally and internationally. Some students like to get a
little dirty. Petroleum engineers work outside and in the field,
but they also work in management, consulting, investments, research, education,
and many other careers.
