Well Performance: This research deals with predicting the performance of oil wells producing under multiphase flow conditions. Individual well performance is investigated from an analytical standpoint and a simulation approach for two- and three-phase flow under various reservoir conditions; the goal being to develop a better understanding of multiphase flow and its effect on well performance and to develop easy to use correlations to predict well performance for field application. Stripper Well Optimization: This research involves the study of problems associated with low rate marginal oil and gas wells; focusing on optimizing the entire production system including reservoir behavior, production method, investment and operating costs, and risk. Environmental Research: Environmental concerns are becoming increasingly more important to the oil and gas industry. Research is needed to study and propose solutions to environmental problems encountered in oil and gas operations. The research focuses on waste management and environmental restoration. |
