CONTESTANT INFORMATION

The 2012 Miss University of Oklahoma Pageant will be held October 25, 2011 in the Oklahoma Memorial Union's Meacham Auditorium.

The pageant is open to full-time OU female students who are at least 17 years of age and no older than 24 on December 31 of the year she might be chosen to represent the Miss Oklahoma Pageant at the Miss America Pageant (2012). Contestants will compete for scholarships, prizes, and the opportunity to represent the University of Oklahoma at the Miss Oklahoma Pageant, which is held annually in Tulsa during the first weekend in June.

A contestant information meeting will be held September 13 at 7 p.m. in the Bartlett Room on the second floor of the student union. During the meeting, Miss OU board members will explain requirements and components of the competition, including important dates.

The Miss University of Oklahoma Pageant is officially sanctioned by the Miss America organization and contestants compete in the following categories:

INTERVIEW 25% of overall score
ON-STAGE QUESTION 5% of overall score
TALENT 35% of overall score
LIFESTYLE & FITNESS IN SWIMSUIT 15% of overall score
EVENING GOWN 20% of overall score
