DEADLINE FOR ART! (No Exceptions) FEB. 1, 2003

Sam Noble Museum (2401 Chautauqua Ave in Norman) staff members Dan Timmons and/or Gabe Serrano (405-325-4629) will begin accepting art Feb 1, 2003 and end on Feb 16, 2003 during museum hours only Monday thru Friday,  8-5 pm. Take all art to the “Dock”, follow signs after turning into museum parking lot off of Chautauqua.


TO BE ELIGIBLE:

    1) You must bring a copy of your proof of Indian blood with you (CDIB, tribal voter registration card, letter from tribal office/council). NO EXCEPTIONS! This will be needed to go along with your paper work.  Be prepared to fill out loan agreement forms for the museum.

 

  2) As a student, be currently attending and/or have attended OU at least one (1) semester and/or be a graduate.

  3) Be on faculty or staff (need not be current but be able to state when & where you were employed by the university) 


Categories: 2D and 3D, limit to 3 submissions per category.

 

ART MUST BE READY TO HANG/DISPLAY. NO EXCEPTIONS!! 

Art must remain on display until final day of show July 20, 2003.

 

This is a “juried art show”.

This year’s judges are:

~Dr. Mary Jo Watson (Seminole)

~Richard Ray Whitman (Yuchi/Pawnee)

~Pahdopony (Comanche)

 

 Show curator is Carolyn L. Shannon (Osage)

 

Opening Day Reception: March 31, 2003 from 4-7pm

at the Sam Noble Museum, 2401 Chautauqua, Norman, Oklahoma
