The organizers of the 4th International
Conference on The (Non)Expression of Emotions in Health and
Disease hereby announce the call for symposium proposals and
oral/poster presentations. Similarly as for the three preceding
editions of this meeting, we again aim to offer a wide variety
of topics related to the way people express their feelings and
the intra- and interpersonal consequences as well as to factors
inhibiting the expression of affect.
Recurring themes are alexithymia, emotion regulation,
Pennebaker's writing paradigm, crying, and several other clinial,
health, and developmental psychological aspects of the (non)expression
of emotions.
The emphasis will be on research relevant for clinical practice
and on applications in health psychology, behavioral medicine,
psychiatry and psychosomatics.
