LEADERSHIP SCHOLARS
The Leadership Scholars Program recognizes undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences who have a meritorious record of academic achievement with a GPA of 3.5 or above and university or community service. The program is made up of 60 participants with 20 chosen annually from the incoming sophomore class. Juniors and seniors may remain in the program if they have demonstrated interest and activity in the offerings provided through the program. New juniors and seniors will be selected as needed to fill any vacancies.
In addition to scholarship support for those members who have financial need, all students selected for the program benefit from leadership enhancement activities, enjoy social gatherings and participate in service projects. Participants interact with mentors and attend monthly meetings to discuss leadership training, campus resources, graduate programs, career opportunities, and current issues with special guest speakers.
