Philip Jenkins
is Distinguished Professor of History and Religious Studies
Penn State University. He earned his Ph.D. in 1978 from Cambridge
University. He has published 18 books, approximately 100 book chapters
and referred articles, and 100 book reviews. In 2002 he received Penn
State’s Alumni Teaching Fellow Award. His book, The Next Christendom,
won the Theologos Award of the Association of Theological Book Sellers.
He is a FOCAS Distinguished Lecturer for the University of Oklahoma
College of Arts & Sciences.
