OUCI works with OKITEA to facilitate Oklahoma K-12 student exchanges with China. OKITEA is the Oklahoma Institute for Teaching East Asia, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
-
Since 2002, 20 Oklahoma schools representing 4 public school districts and 4 private schools have developed exchange programs with schools in Sichuan Province, Beijing, Chongqing, and Shenyang.
-
Every year, Oklahoma schools send approximately 200 secondary students and 40 teachers to China and host the same number of students and teachers from sister schools.
