OUCI Social Networking

OUCI works with OKITEA to facilitate Oklahoma K-12 student exchanges with China. OKITEA is the Oklahoma Institute for Teaching East Asia, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

• Since 2002, 20 Oklahoma schools representing 4 public school districts and 4 private schools have developed exchange programs with schools in Sichuan Province, Beijing, Chongqing, and Shenyang.

• Every year, Oklahoma schools send approximately 200 secondary students and 40 teachers to China and host the same number of students and teachers from sister schools.

• Over 2,000 students have participated in these exchanges in the past 7 years.
