OKLAHOMA CREW TEAM
Founded in January 2001 by Mike
Knopp and a few enterprising students, Oklahoma Crew registered
as a student organization at The University of Oklahoma. From the
beginning Oklahoma Crew has set a high standard for club sports
and in its Spring 2001 debut season the team's Novice Women's Open
Four placed third at the Big Twelve Rowing Invitational in Manhattan,
Kansas. Building on that first successful season, the team has grown
progressively stronger and has since competed in many regattas throughout
the midwest and south.
Oklahoma Crew practices at Chesapeake Bricktown Boathouse on the newly developed
Oklahoma River near downtown Oklahoma City.
