CAMPUS IMPACT
Our goal is to make this a seamless transition so students, faculty, and staff can access all campus systems using their new 4+4s the morning following standardization with minimal loss of service or downtime.
We have tested our process numerous times and are confident that students, faculty, and staff will not experience any permanent data loss. For those already using a standardized 4+4, you will experience no change, downtime, or loss of service during the transition.
Check our Transition Day page to learn how you can make a smooth transition.
How Many are Impacted?
The following list shows the number of users with legacy 4+4s by group (numbers are approximate):
- 12,900 students
- 4,100 faculty/staff
- 1,400 retirees
- 1,100 engineering graduates
Known Impacts
Our 3 preliminary tests have helped us identify a few issues that might cause confusion on the transition day. Our Transition Day page provides step-by-step instructions for streamlining your transition and for avoiding confusion. We will update that page throughout transition day to provide real-time outage information and instructions and to keep you connected to the services you need for teaching, learning, and working.
