OU Lost and Found Information

If you think you may have lost an item in a campus building, check with personnel there first - they may still have it.

Staff at many buildings keep found items for several days before turning it over to Campus Lost & Found at the OU Physical Plant.

If it has been several days since you lost the item, also check with the Campus Lost & Found at 325-6953.

We suggest that you check with staff in the building, AND with Campus Lost and Found, immediately, if the lost item is of high value or involves the loss/finding of University keys.

If you FIND property on campus, contact 325-6953 to obtain directions on where to bring the found property.

The OU Physical Plant's Campus Lost & Found is the central repository for items lost/found on the OU Norman Campus. If you've lost anything please contact them and ask. They may have it. Each year hundreds of unclaimed items are sold at auction. Don't let this happen to your stuff!

(Exception: Contact the OU Physical Plant's Campus Lost & Found for all property lost/found on the OU Norman Campus EXCEPT for property lost/found at Bizzell library, which has their own lost & found department.)

To get more information, or to report found property, or to check on lost property — contact the OU Physical Plant's Campus Lost & Found during the following hours:

Note: The "hours", listed above, are for CHECKING ON lost/found property. You may only "pick up" or turn in lost/found property on weekdays from 7am till 4:30pm. Contact Found Property at 325-6953 to make arrangements (and get directions) to come and pick up your property.

Items unclaimed for more than six months are discarded or sold at auction at the University's discretion.

Don't delay.

Note: If you find property that you think may have been stolen, involved in a crime, or find weapons or contraband, contact the OU Police Department at 325-2864.
