
Meredith Simons, a winner of the Mary Elizabeth Wade award, is now working as an intern and contributing to Slate’s DoubleX, a site with feminist and women’s commentary on social and political issues.
Marcos D. Stocco (OU BA in Philosophy ’98, OU BS in Computer Science ’98) is currently working the STS-127/2JA Joint Mission between the Space Shuttle and International Space Station in Mission Control in Houston, TX. "I’ve been a Flight Controller here since 2000, and will be the Lead ISS Pointing Officer for the upcoming STS-129/ULF3 Mission. My wife (Amber J. Stocco [nee Bailey] , OU BA in Fine Arts ’98, OU MD ’04) just recently completed her Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Pediatric Neurology, and she was hired on to remain as a Staff/Faculty Physician at Texas Children’s Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Our daughter (Emerald Jean Stocco) is now 7 months old." marcos.stocco-1@nasa.gov
