Through Intersession, University Outreach offers a convenient way to obtain college credit through a variety of courses spanning a three to four week period. Our courses compress 16 week courses into a shorter time frame.
These intensive, accelerated courses are offered two times per year: December and August. December counts towards Flat-rate tuition & August can be used with your banked hours!

Some advantages of enrolling in Intersession are:
- Meeting the requirements of Flat Rate Tuition in the Fall OR Using Your Banked Hours In Summer (Please contact the Bursar's Office for details).
- Gaining credit hours to balance your semester work load
- Free up the majority of your summer for an internship, working or studying abroad

You can be admitted as a visiting student through OU admissions and take classes before you begin pursuing your degree. Taking only one class at OU can help you jumpstart your college career with a high GPA.

*Students wishing to enroll after the 2nd day of class must get special permission of the professor and then email it to the Intersession Office, firstname.lastname@example.org to formally register in the Intersession course.
