Lean Institute at the University of Oklahoma
The University of Oklahoma Lean Institute (OULI) offers a wide variety of classes in process improvement and organizational efficiency, combining techniques from Lean and Six Sigma to fit the specific needs of each client and organization: improving workflow, improving quality, reducing defects, and increasing profitability.
Our programs range in scope from introductory lectures to continuous training and certification programs, and we are happy to customize our services to individual clients.
OULI specializes in applications of Lean techniques for environmental sustainability. Most Lean improvements lower an organization's environmental footprint, and this can be a great way to approach sustainability in a way that also increases profitability.
Participants in all OULI programs receive Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits, required to maintain many professional licensures. OULI training also qualifies as PDU credits for Project Management Professionals.
Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt program participants may also elect to receive graduate credit hours through the OU College of Liberal Studies.
OULI offers the bulk of its public training programs at Tinker Business Industrial Park near I-40 and Sooner Road (map). These classes are open enrollment, and usually feature an interesting mix of teams from different industries.
OULI is happy to deliver private or contracted training programs onsite at locations across the state, including events at client facilities as appropriate.
A calendar of public Lean Six Sigma certification courses is scheduled out a year in advance. Please browse upcoming classes.
