All motor vehicles using University of Oklahoma parking facilities from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. must display a current University of Oklahoma parking permit.

Faculty/staff permit cost is $222 annually. Fees are prorated monthly. Faculty or staff permit holders are required to return their purchased parking permits to the Parking Office should they leave the University prior to the expiration date.

All parking spaces are allocated to a specific user group with permits available for each category of user.

The responsibility for finding a legal parking space rests with the vehicle operator. Lack of space in a particular lot is not a valid excuse for violating parking regulations, and will not be considered as a valid basis for appeal.

The vehicle operator must park only in those spaces or areas allocated and designated for the type of permit displayed on the vehicle.

Faculty/staff permits are valid only in the following areas:

  • Any faculty/staff or multi-purpose parking space on campus with the following exceptions:
    • Commuter lots only after 4pm
    • East side of Jefferson Kitchen (A29) requires an additional permit

Faculty/staff permits are not valid in the following areas:

  • North (Parrington) Oval prior to 5 p.m.
  • Service vehicle areas south of Lindsey
  • Service vehicle areas north of Lindsey prior to 5 p.m.
  • Any "No Parking" area
  • Visitor parking prior to 5 p.m.
