The P-20 Data Coordinating Council* advises the State Department of Education (SDE), State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE), Department of Career and Technology Education, Office of Accountability, Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC), Legislature and Governor on coordination of the creation of a unified, longitudinal student data system. This data system will link information about schools, teachers and students throughout Oklahoma’s educational system, including pre-kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, CareerTech, and colleges and universities and to OESC workforce information. The purpose of the integrated data system is to provide longitudinal information that will enhance student learning and accountability throughout Oklahoma.
*Oklahoma’s P-20 Data Coordinating Council was created in 2009 by the State Legislature (Senate Bill 222, OS Section 3-163 of Title 70). The Council meets quarterly at the State Capitol and its deliberations are subject to the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act (Title 25, O.S. §301-304) and the Oklahoma Open Records Act (Title 51 O.S. §24A.1-29).
