Welcome to OU Parking Services
The University of Oklahoma welcomes you to Parking Services. Our goal is to help you understand the ins and outs of parking on campus. We encourage you to apply for your permit online, appeal or pay a citation online and visit the FAQs section to get your questions answered. Follow these tips to avoid parking citations.
Summer permits valid May 15 to August 15
Summer parking permits ($32) for students are available under "purchase permit" at left. The permits are valid May 15 to Aug. 15, 2016. Summer permits are valid in any lot requiring a student permit, including commuter, housing, priority housing, Headington Hall and multi-purpose lots.
Get single-day permits for bad-weather days
Students, faculty and staff can purchase single-day parking permits for days when it's just too cold or inconvenient to walk or ride. Permits may be purchased in quantities of one to 10 for $4 each and are valid for the date scratched off. Faculty/staff permits can be used in faculty/staff lots. Student permits can be used in any student-permitted lot. Either permit is valid in multi-purpose lots.
Rate increases will help fund more parking
Parking permit rates will increase in steps over the next few years to help finance two multi-story parking structures on campus. Housing and commuter student rates go from $226 to $249 the next academic year (2016-2017). For faculty and staff, rates will increase from $256 to $282 for the calendar year, August 2016 to August 2017. For more information on the parking permit rate increase, click here (PDF).
LEFE spaces open on Research Campus
Parking & Transportation Services is committed to promoting university sustainability initiatives. Three Partners Place and Four Partners Place have received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. As one of many strategies to this certification, parking spaces have been dedicated Low Emission, Fuel-Efficient (LEFE).
Only vehicles that had a green score of 45 and above listed on the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) may park in the university’s LEFE parking spaces. OU has no influence on which cars make the list. Valid parking permits are required to park in any LEFE vehicle parking spaces on campus.
