FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

On this webpage we have provided our answers to questions that prospective users of team-based learning have frequently asked over the years. All the Questions and Answers can be downloaded in PDF format (Adobe Acrobat).

We have grouped the specific questions under the following three general concerns:

Part I - Will team-based learning work for me and my specific situation?
· Example: Will it work for me, given my characteristics as a teacher? Will it work for my subject matter, class size, classroom configuration, etc.?

Part II - How does team-based learning deal with some of the problems I might anticipate?
· Example: Can I still cover the content? How does it deal with freeloading students?

Part III - Typical initial questions when teachers decide to use team-based learning?
· Example: How should I form groups? How big should the groups be? How often should I give the Readiness Assessment Tests?

If you have a specific question, click on the general category above and it will take you to that set of questions.
