Police Officers

OU Police Officers are armed, CLEET certified peace officers. They may be assigned as patrol officers, detectives, or Crime Prevention Officers. Some are assigned to the multi-jurisdiction SWAT team and to the joint Hazardous Devices Unit.

 

  • Starting pay: $20.80/hour;  $43,264 per year.

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be CLEET Peace Office certified or certified Peace officer from another state;
  • 21 years of age;
  • High school or GED;
  • Pass background investigation;
  • Pass medical physical exam.
