New Book Series

Communication, Media, and Politics. Bob Denton, book series editor. Rowman & Littlefield Publishers.

This series covers a broad range of topics dealing with the role and function of communication in the realm of politics, broadly defined. The series encompasses humanistic, critical, historical, as well as empirical studies in political communication in the United States. Primary subject areas include campaigns and elections, media, and political institutions. Campaign considerations encompasses such topic areas as elections, news, debates, electoral strategies and tactics, as well as political advertising, to name just a few. Considerations of media's role includes such topic areas as the role and impact of broadcast media, new technologies, the Internet, and news journalism. Institutional studies examine the role and function of communication activities in Congress, state and local government, and, of course, the Presidency. The series also welcomes volumes of sufficient breadth for use in graduate and advanced undergraduate courses. Volumes may be published in both hardback and paper editions. Check out some of their excellent titles at www.rowmanlittlefield.com and also follow the link to the new series. We currently have 7 forthcoming titles with 4 or so published by the NCA convention. By summer, the series will have a dozen titles.
