Application to the Integrated BBA/MAcc Program

Formal application is required for admission into the combined BBA/MAcc program.  Application can be made after a student completes 75 hours of undergraduate coursework toward their BBA degree, typically during the second semester of the junior year. Interested students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible after completing 75 hours toward the BBA. Accepted applicants are admitted the semester after completing 90 hours toward the BBA.

Admission Criteria

Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and an acceptable score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or GRE to be admittable. As a guideline, applicants accepted into the program have an average GPA of 3.5 and an average GMAT score of approximately 600. The GMAT is the preferred method of testing, however, if a GRE is submitted verbal and quantitative scores should be 160 or higher. Scholarships are awarded based primarily on these criteria.

The Admission Committee will allow GMAT to be waived under the following conditions (only applies to students applying to the 3/2 combined B/MAcc program. Standalone MAcc candidates must complete the GMAT or GRE to be admitted):

  1. 60 credit hours earned at the University of Oklahoma
  2. No ā€˜Cā€™ grades in any Accounting courses completed at the time of application.
  3. Average GPA of 3.33 for a minimum of three accounting courses (ACCT 2113, 2123, and 3113).  (Students could have more accounting courses, and all of them would be calculated in the GPA. For example, some students also have ACCT 3313 and in that case all 4 courses would be used to determine this GPA requirement).
  4. Receive an ā€˜Aā€™ grade in ACCT 3113, Intermediate Accounting.
  5. All accounting courses must be taken at OU.

You may still apply to the  B/Macc if you do not meet the criteria for waiving the GMAT exam.  (The range of GMAT scores for BMAcc students taking the exam who are admitted to the program ranges from 550 to 720 with 620 as the average score).
